| News & Events AARP South Dakota to Host Investor Protection Luncheon
The FREE Investor Protection “Lunch and Learn” features a presentation of “The Lure of Money.” This presentation is an overview of the deceptive tactics used in ponzi schemes, promissory notes, viaticals, variable annuities and affinity fraud. Real cases will be highlighted followed by tips to avoid becoming a victim of investment fraud. The lunch and learn begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch provided by AARP South Dakota. There is no cost to attend, and AARP membership is not necessary. Registration is required for this session. Register by calling 1-877-926-8300. The Philip Area Farmer's Market is open from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Fire Hall Park. Check it out weekly for seasonal garden produce, baked goods, jellies, jams, canned goods, craft items, etc. each Saturday through October 30th, ...weather permitting.
